À la fois sculpteurs, architectes et archéologues, Anne et Patrick Poirier explorent sites et vestiges issus de civilisations anciennes afin de les faire revivre par des reconstitutions miniaturisées.
Leurs travaux, composés d’herbiers, de dessins, de photographies et de maquettes sont une réinvention du passé, où se confondent lieux réels et paysages oniriques, ruines imaginaires et fragments archéologiques. Pour leur exposition au couvent de La Tourette, Anne et Patrick ont souhaité s’emparer de la tension propre au chef d’œuvre de Le Corbusier, entre paysage et utopie architecturale réalisée, avec un ensemble d’œuvres produites pour l’occasion qu’accompagnent des pièces récentes.
Sculptors, architects and archaeologists, Anne and Patrick Poirier explore sites and vestiges from ancient civilizations in order to bring them to life through miniaturized reconstructions. Their work composed of herbariums, drawings, photographs and models is a reinvention of the past, where real places and dreamlike landscapes, imaginary ruins and archaeological fragments merge. For their exhibition at the Convent of La Tourette, Anne and Patrick wanted to take up the tension inherent in Le Corbusier's masterpiece, between landscape and realized architectural utopia, with a set of works produced for the occasion that accompany recent pieces.

Anne et Patrick Poirier ont souhaité s’emparer de la tension propre au couvent de La Tourette, entre paysage et utopie architecturale réalisée, avec un ensemble d’œuvres produites pour l’occasion, qu’accompagnent des pièces récentes.
En 2013 a été célébrée la fin du chantier de restauration du couvent après six années de travaux. Laszlo Horvath livre ici un très bel ensemble de photographies qui révèlent la beauté du couvent.
Le texte de la visite faite par Le Corbusier lors de l’inauguration est publié en français et en anglais pour accompagner cette visite en images.

Anne and Patrick Poirier wished to seize the tension specific to the convent of La Tourette, between landscape and architectural utopia realized, with a set of works produced for the occasion, which accompany recent pieces.
In 2013, the end of the restoration of the convent was celebrated after six years of work. Laszlo Horvath delivers here a beautiful set of photographs that reveal the beauty of the convent.
