Exposition exceptionnelle au couvent de La Tourette avec Anish Kapoor, artiste internationalement reconnu qui a exposé en 2011 à Monumenta au Grand Palais à Paris et l'été 2015 dans les jardins du château de Versailles. Ses œuvres qui invitent à la méditation ont admirablement dialogué avec l'architecture de Le Corbusier et ont renouvellé le regard sur le couvent.

Exceptional exhibition at the convent of La Tourette with Anish Kapoor, internationally recognized artist who exhibited in 2011 at Monumenta at the Grand Palais in Paris and the summer of 2015 in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles. His works, which invite meditation, have admirably dialogued with Le Corbusier's architecture and have renewed the view of the convent.

ANISH KAPOOR CHEZ LE CORBUSIER 

Ce catalogue est la mémoire de l'exposition d'Anish Kapoor au couvent de La Tourette, organisée durant l'automne 2015 à l'occasion du 800e anniversaire de l'Ordre des Dominicains et du 50e anniversaire de la mort de Le Corbusier. Cette exposition s'inscrit dans une programmation qui, depuis sept ans, suscite un dialogue entre l'oeuvre architecturale de Le Corbusier et les oeuvres d'un artiste plasticien. Il ressort de ces rencontres un renouvellement du regard tant sur l'architecture que sur les oeuvres installées.

Dans le présent cas, les oeuvres d'Anish Kapoor ne sont pas "exposées" à la Tourette, mais viennent habiter le couvent, lieu de silence et de paix. L'artiste a fait preuve ici d'une grande humilité face à l'architecture de Le Corbusier, instaurant un véritable dialogue, tout en justesse.

This catalog is the memory of the exhibition of Anish Kapoor at the Convent of La Tourette, organized during the fall of 2015 on the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the Dominican Order and the 50th anniversary of the death of Le Corbusier. This exhibition is part of a program which, for the past seven years, has encouraged a dialogue between the architectural work of Le Corbusier and the works of a visual artist. The result of these encounters is a renewed look at both the architecture and the installed works.

In this case, the works of Anish Kapoor are not "exhibited" at La Tourette, but come to inhabit the convent, a place of silence and peace. The artist has shown great humility in the face of Le Corbusier's architecture, establishing a true dialogue, all in accuracy.
